Denville Township (07834) is located in Morris County, NJ. The community is known as the "Hub of Morris County" for its great location along the major transportation routes in the center of Morris County. The community has a total area of 12.6 square miles and has approximately 6,200 housing units. Denville has a population of approximately 15,800 and boasts lots of year round activities for residents. The community has a wonderful town center with many small shops and restaurants. There are four major residential lake communities which offer a mixture of homes from small cottages to large lakefronts. Further outside the downtown area, there are a number of newer housing developments featuring center hall colonial homes on larger property sizes.
Denville has four major residential lake communities, which include Cedar Lake, Indian Lake, Rock Ridge and Lake Arrowhead. Estling Lake is a private summer community, which has some full year residents. The three minor lakes are Cooper Lake, Hollstein Lake, and Openaki Lake. The town also has Cooks Pond, which is a recreational lake available for public use by membership. Many residents live in the non-lake communities including Union Hill, Beacon Hill, Birch Run, and the Downtown area. Some of the newer housing developments and neighborhoods include Robin Hill, Tulip Lane, Puddingstone Heights, Knoll Top Estates, Paramount Estates, Forest Park, Chestnut Hill, Denville Hunt, Canterbury Pointe, Denville Estates, Rustic Ridge, Coventry Chase, Ivy Crest, Sunrise at Denville, Farmstead, Sable Pointe, Fairway View Estates, The Meadows, Franklin Farms, and Cedar Gate.

U.S. Route 46 and NJ Routes 10 and 53 pass through the municipality. The Denville Train Station offers direct service to Hoboken or NY Penn Station on the NJ Transit Morristown Line. Passengers who take the Hoboken train can switch to the PATH to reach NYC. Passengers who take the Midtown Direct train will arrive at NY Penn Station in about 75 minutes. Lakeland Bus Lines provides service from Denville to NY Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan NYC. During rush hour, the bus ride takes about 65 minutes.
The Denville Township School District has two elementary schools grades K-5: Lakeview and Riverview. Valleyview Middle School serves grade 6-8. Public school students in grades 9-12 attend Morris Knolls High School. The high school is part of the Morris Hills Regional High School District, which also serves the residential communities of Rockaway Borough, Rockaway Township and Wharton. Morris Catholic High School is a four-year comprehensive Roman Catholic regional high school located in the township.
Denville has a charming downtown with a variety of shops and restaurants. The Rockaway Townsquare Mall is about 10 minutes away in Rockaway Township. The Shoppes at Union Hill are located on NJ Route 10.
